Dr. Chris Gray

Senior Pastor

Chris has been the Senior Pastor of Arrowwood Baptist Church since 2019. He knew from an early age that God had called him to serve the church in full-time ministry. Chris loves to preach and teach God’s Word to His people as well as to serve the church to grow to become mature followers of Jesus Christ who in-turn make disciples. A native of Hendersonville, North Carolina, he became a follower of Christ at the age of eleven and was called to ministry at sixteen. Chris has served in full-time ministry for over 30 years, first as a youth minister for over ten years and later as a senior pastor beginning in 2003.

For his training, Chris earned an Associates degree from North Greenville University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carson-Newman University. He received a Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctorate degree in pastoral leadership from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

He has been married to Cherie Davis Gray from Rogersville, Tennessee since 1995. They are blessed to be the parents of two children: Caleb and Callie. When he is not preaching or pastoring, Chris loves to draw and animate and likes to fish and golf whenever he has the opportunity. Chris is also the professor of Christian Apologetics at the Fruitland Baptist Bible College in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
